One of the priority development trends of Sechenov University is an effective personnel management policy aimed at providing the highest level of human resources. Under the framework of the Academic Excellence Project, Sechenov University opens the International Institute of Employee Professional Development. Sechenov University has started the special campaign for attraction the high-quality professionals in various fields, and organization of professional development programs together with the Russian and foreign partners.
The new Institute is proposed to develop the professional competences of employees by attracting the foreign specialists in accordance with the latest international trends. Moreover, it will implement the University’s employee potential evaluation, as well as the development of the required professional competences. Each employee category will be offered the individual training & development programs, and the relevant international activities.

On April 5, 2018, the International Institute of Employee Professional Development organized a series of the international events.

Prof. Peter de Jong (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) during the workshop "How to publish an article in the international journals? Secrets and special techniques." introduced the best practices of publication in the international journals.

Prof. Trevor Gibbs (AMEE International Development Officer) held the seminar "Essential Skills in Medical Education". It became part of AMEE-ESME courses for those faculty members who would like to deepen understanding of the basic principles of educational process, to improve the professional skills, and to study up on the international trends and best practices. The Sechenov University’s faculty members became the first to study in accordance with the AMEE methods.

It's worth noting that the first overseas representative office of AMEE (Association for Medical Education in Europe) will be opened at Sechenov University in May, 2018. 
On the one hand, it will promote the integration of the Russian medical education into the global educational environment. On the other hand, it will help to introduce the latest European training technologies in solving current problems of the Russian medical education. Overall, it confirms the willingness of the Sechenov University to build strategic partnership with the world leaders in Medical Education.
