Sechenov University at the Urology Congress

Two thousand specialists from Russia, representatives of the European Association of Urology from the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain gathered together to discuss the use of high-tech methods in clinical practice, prevention and treatment of complications. Sechenov University became one of the organizers of the Russian Society of Urology Congress, which was held on November 8-10, 2017 in Moscow.

The scientific program of the Congress was presented by a series of reports and discussion clubs. The school of the Simulation Center "Praxi Medica" (Sechenov University) and European School of Urology (ESU) on the management of surgical complications in urology were involved in the Congress agenda.
The scientific program of the Congress was opened by Prof. Dmitry Pushkar, the chief urologist of the Ministry of Health, chief urologist in Moscow. He gave a keynote report on the high-tech complications in urological surgery and proposed to introduce risk classification which would help opeartion surgeons and patients to avoid complications . Prof. Christopher Chappell, secretary-general of the European Association of Urology, made a report on the role of international standards in treatment.

The Congress was accompanied by an exhibition with participation of the top Russian and foreign urological companies.
