Sechenov University to participate in IMIF-2020
This influential conference will focus on the future of medical care in Russia.
Sechenov University is pleased to announce the forthcoming 4th International Medical Investment Forum (IMIF-2020), which will take place on 27–28 November 2020. This event is expected to bring together several thousands of participants from across Russia — government officials, scientists, medics, businesses, financial institutions, and consultancy firms. They will be discussing how to improve public–private partnerships, modernise medical care, implement digital technologies, increase the export of medical services, and create a better, patient-centred healthcare system.
The IMIF-2020 will be held in a mixed online and offline form. The offline plenary session is scheduled for 27 November and will take place in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. The participants and media representatives are invited to register online here.
Apart from other questions, the speakers and guests will talk about investment in healthcare and related infrastructure, insurance strategies, prospects of the pharmaceutical industry, Russia’s Healthcare National Project, digital medicine, gerontology, geriatrics, urban health, and ecology.
The following speakers have been confirmed: Mikhail Murashko, Russia’s Minister of Health; Veronika Skvortsova, Director of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency; Leo Bokeria, President of Bakulev Scientific Centre of Cardiovascular Surgery, Member of the Civic Chamber; João Breda, Programme Manager for Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity at WHO/Europe.
The following participants from Sechenov University are to take part in the Forum: Petr Glybochko, Rector of Sechenov University; Denis Butnaru, Vice-Rector; Peter Timashev, Head of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine; Vadim Tarasov, Head of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology; Georgy Lebedev, Head of the Institute for Digital Medicine; Oleg Golikov, Head of the Department of Digital Transformation; Sergey Orlov, Head of the Department of Regional Development at the Institute for Leadership and Healthcare Management; Olga Safonicheva, Professor at the Department of Sports Medicine and Medical Rehabilitation.
The IMIF-2020 is organised by the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy and Sechenov University, with support of the State Duma, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, and Rostec State Corporation.
