Sechenov University confirmed its leading positions among Russian medical universities, becoming the 22rd in the IX Annual National University Ranking of the international "Interfax Group ".

In comparison with the previous year Sechenov University has improved its position by 560 points. Moreover, Sechenov University became one of the top-20 Russian universities as for Education, Brand and Research indicators. The University has also topped the list of national medical universities as for Health & Medical Sciences criteria.
Prof. Petr V. Glybochko, the University’s rector, noted that strong positions of the Russian medical universities in the national rankings show the perspective in the international academic community.
During this academic year we have made significant breakthrough achievements in all areas. In order to further develop the national health care, we need multidisciplinary specialists who will be able to help each patient. It’ll allow us to transform into the largest international research medical University.
