Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry (Institute of Pharmacy, Sechenov University) in cooperation with foreign pharmaceutical companies has developed 2 new training programs. The Department’s faculty members made an analysis of the foreign pharmaceutical companies in Russia and identified a set of competencies required for a graduate to be successfully employed.Then they formed the concept of engagement program and sent cooperation proposals to the target group of foreign companies. 

The developed programs are necessary for work in the pharmaceutical companies, and thus completely keep within the subjects of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry. The first program is devoted to organization of environmental monitoring service in pharmaceutical industry. AstraZeneca Industries LLC became a partner in development process of this strategic research. Knowledge of unified environmental requirements for any pharmaceutical company will allow graduates to get placed in any foreign or domestic pharmaceutical company.

The second training program deals with registration and certification of the new foreign drugs produced in the Russian Federation. It will help in understanding regulatory processes necessary for successful work in the pharmaceutical companies. Sechenov University has concluded a cooperation agreement with Angelini Pharma Rus (Italy), and its staff will be involved in the educational process. 

Such projects will allow to prepare highly qualified specialists for the pharmaceutical industry.
