COVID-19 info

COVID-19 is a respiratory viral infection which affects peoples’ airways and lungs. Products of inflammation during COVID infection often affect nervous system. The most dangerous symptom of the disease is viral pneumonia, which leads to low saturation of the blood and hypoxia. 

Currently, COVID-19 has worn itself off. New cases of infection are rare and cause light illness. Still, you should remember that COVID is high-contagious disease and be aware of it.

The main symptoms at the moment are: dyspnea, temperature of 37-38 Celsius degrees, intoxication, weakness, loss of smell (not always).

There are quick test systems available in pharmacies in Russia which showed high sensitivity and specificity. But we recommend you consult a specialist once you faced the abovementioned symptoms.

According to the actual rules there are no isolation for the contacted students. If one of your group mates received a positive Covid test, the rest of the group continues learning in person. Those who are ill should apply to Sechenov MFC using the feedback form in personal account and request for online education.
